Labradors are famous for being a smart and happy breed, often exhibiting class-clown behavior throughout their entire lives. This playfulness is highly exaggerated in puppies, which can make them a handful — but a seriously entertaining handful.

Charlie Ogard's 6-month-old yellow lab Maddie is certainly no exception. On a hot August afternoon, Maddie decided she'd had enough roasting in the heat and tried to fill up her doggy pool all by herself. She's a clever  girl and knows that she's got to get the hose into her pool, but watching her struggle to figure out how to actually get the water to stay there is hilarious. Ogard filmed her just long enough to capture her silly endeavor, but makes it clear in the video's description that he promptly turned off the hose to save water.

If Maddie's already pulling stunts like this at 6 months old, you can bet she'll be keeping Ogard laughing for years to come.
