For most people, the arrival of a litter of puppies brings smiles, love, and a lot of heartwarming moments. However, that's not always the case with animal owners. When 13-year-old Jonathan Flat heard a rustling on his way to the bus stop, he knew he had to investigate. To his shock and great horror, Flat discovered a trash bag full of emaciated puppies. He knew he had to call for help or else the pups would have no chance at life.

Thanks to the love and care that Flat and his mother provided for the puppies, they are now doing much better. It took a little bit of time for the litter to warm up to the idea of other humans, but once they did, they started showing signs of being more comfortable. I couldn't imagine abandoning a helpless animal; I'm just glad that this story has a happy ending.

Watch the video and tell us what you think of Flat's rescue in the comments below!
