Elise Strachan was a flight attendant who dreamed of opening up a cupcake shop, yet her vision didn't quite come to life. While she did have a cupcake stand at the Surfers Paradise beachfront market for a number of years, she never opened up the shop that she had envisioned. But that doesn't mean Elise isn't living out her dream. In fact, some might say that Elise did open up that shop - but instead of it being located downtown or on a corner, it was in her home. Elise, with the help of her husband, started the YouTube channel "MyCupcakeAddiction" which consisted of tutorials on how to make and decorate various kinds of cupcakes. It wasn't long before the channel took off and Elise quit her flight attendant job to focus on baking. And it payed off.
Elise now has over one million subscribers and puts out several new videos a month. With the incredible growth of her channel, Elise has deviated a bit from the traditional cupcake making. She has tutorials for cake pops, milkshakes, and doughnuts. Each and every treat she makes is incredibly detailed and crafted with care, not to mention colorful.
In the video below, Elise provides a tutorial for making rainbow waffles. Though it may be a bit labor intensive, the final outcome makes it all worth it. I was delightfully surprised when she lifted that waffle iron. Check out the tutorial and let us know what you think. Will you give this a shot?
