There are many benefits to swaddling your infant, which is why the majority of new parents learn the skill from maternity nurses shortly after the mother gives birth. Swaddling is said to comfort an infant because it is reminiscent of a mother's womb, and it gives the brand-new baby a sense of safety and security.

The video below shows a great technique called a double swaddle, and it's useful if you have a squirmy baby who wriggles out of a regular swaddle. You can see in the video just how cozy and calm the baby becomes as soon as the swaddle is done...check out that adorable yawn! Did you swaddle your babies? Or do you feel it's too constricting? Let us know in the comments, and share the video with your friends on Facebook if you think they'd benefit from the lesson!
