Karla Perez was 22 weeks pregnant when she suddenly fell unconscious. A sufferer of Rheumatoid arthritis, the 22-year-old new there would be risks with having a child in her condition, but was able to have one child already without any problems.

When Karla arrived to the hospital it was apparent that she had suffered a stroke, and recovery was never a possibility. Even though Karla wasn't going to survive, her son Angel was still alive inside, so her family asked the doctors to prolong her life long enough for him to survive.

On the 54th day of her coma, one Angel was born into the world, and another went to a better place. The support of her family and doctors gave her son a chance to live, and though they'll never meet, her love will always be felt.
