About a decade ago, Annegret Raunigk made headlines for being the oldest mother in Germany at the age of 55. Now, she's making headlines again for breaking her own record. The now-65-year-old is pregnant and has received some backlash for her decision to care for and raise children at this point in her life. Raunigk already has 13 children and seven grandchildren, but clearly wanted her family to continue growing. The primary school teacher has defended her decision and claims that she is perfectly capable of raising children at her age. Though she's been married five times, she's raised the majority of her children on her own.
Surprisingly, Annegret's pregnancy at 65 isn't the most shocking aspect of this story - it's the fact that she's having quadruplets! Yes, you read that right. Her pregnancy was the result of artificial insemination, but doctors didn't expect that all four eggs would develop into embryos. What did you think of this story?
